What Is A Macbook Pro

What Is A Macbook Pro

What is a Macbook Pro is the topic of my article today, and the reason I chose this product is I am still on the hunt for a new business computer. I really can’t express how important this decision is for your success, and this is just as important, if not more important than choosing a name for your business and your niche.

Macbook Pro

For years I kept promising myself self my next computer would be an Apple Computer, but after several HP computers, I still have never purchased an Apple computer to this day. The Macbook Pro is quite impressive to read about, and it’s appearance sure does not turn you away. This laptop is available in 13-inch and 16-inch screen sizes, and if anything prevents most of us from purchasing this beauty it will be the price we have to pay.

What Is The Price To Own A Macbook Pro

The price actually is more than I wish to invest in a computer, but I am sure all of you are sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to learn how much a Macbook Pro costs. Apple laptops will cost you approximately the prices below, and this from the manufacturer’s website.

  • 13-inch starting at $1299.00
  • 16-inch starting at $2399.00

Even as much as I have fallen in love with this product I am not willing to invest so much of my money, so it appears my search will continue for a new business computer.

Back To The Macbook Pro

Even though the Macbook Pro is not the right investment for me at this time, I am going to provide you more information just in case you are interested in learning more about this beautiful laptop computer. so let’s just see what kind of deals we can find between the Macbook Pro and the Macbook Air?

Best Buy Pricing

Since I do quite of bit of my business shopping at Best Buy I am going to use them as a price comparison, and this will give you an idea of how much money each of these would cost you to make them your own.

  • 13-inch Macbook Air starting at $950.00
  • 13-inch Macbook Pro starting at $1299.00

As you can see by purchasing at Best Buy your investment has decreased a great deal compared to the prices above from the Apple website, so this does make a difference now in the affordability of both of these laptops.

Best Buy Macbook Sale

Isn’t this just amazing it just happens Best Buy is having a sale as I write this article, so let’s check out their sale prices.

  • Apple Macbook Air 13-inch $799.99 and you can get this on a payment plan of $44.45 per month.
  • Apple Macbook Pro 13-inch $1399.00 and you can get this on a payment plan of $77.78 per month.

So these are the two best deals on Macbooks they are offering, but I always like to check out Best Buys Top Deals when I am shopping on their website.

Let’s Shop On Amazon

Even though I have never purchased a computer on Amazon myself, I know for a fact many of my business contacts have an Amazon Business Account. So for anyone with one of these accounts here is the best prices, so let’s see what this favorite shopping website can do for us.

  • 13-inch Macbook Air $799.00
  • 13-inch Macbook Pro $1499.00

Now you can get even better deals than these prices if you opt for one of the renewed versions, but I prefer myself to purchase brand new products when it comes to my computers.

Why Are Macbooks So Expensive

Why Are Macbook Pros So Expensive, so you can read their full article if this interests you. But it all comes down to you are paying for their powerful performance ability, so if you want a laptop with impressive functioning you must pay the price. As for me, I don’t require that much power in a laptop for my business, so I can’t see paying for more than I need.

Best Macbook Alternatives

Since I decided I really don’t need a Macbook even though I would love one, I next did a search for alternatives. So I found this article The Best Macbook Pro Alternatives by Cnet.com, and let’s see what they suggest we can consider instead.

  • HP Spectre x360 $940.00
  • Razor Blade 15 $2600.00
  • Dell XPS 13 $1209.00
  • Lenovo Yoga Chromebook 360 $779.00
  • Alienware Area 51m $3300.00

Now we have some alternatives to consider, but I still am not sure if any of these are really want I need or want for my business.

How Much Should I Spend For A Laptop

Since the prices of laptops are way higher than I expected, I am now trying to figure out how much do I need to spend to get a laptop capable of performing for my business. The results from my research tell me I should consider a budget between $800.00 to $1000.00 at the least, so I am asking myself what is a budget-friendly laptop for bloggers going to cost me.

Best Laptops For Bloggers

Now I am confused by this list, I got this list from MyTipsHub.com.The article is The Best Cheap Laptops For Blogging, but as we know from our research the Apple Macbook Pro sure is not cheap.

  1. I am in the same situation: I keep promising myself I will buy an Apple computer but my only experience with Apple so far is my super old iPad!

But thanks for this article: It is extremely useful to people like me who procrastinate when it comes to this kind of decision!

    1. Hello, Rosalia

Thank you for reading and commenting, I really appreciate every comment from every reader.
Purchasing a computer is difficult enough, but when you are shopping for a computer for
your business it makes it even more important

  2. Thank you so much for this informative article, Jeff! I currently have an Acer laptop, and I’m also in the market for a new business computer. I have steered clear of Apple computers, as I don’t feel that they offer enough speed, functionality or features to justify their exorbitant prices. I have had Dell, Lenovo and Toshiba computers in the past, and I feel that they are better quality products for a much lower price (I had to discontinue using them for different reasons). However, you did an excellent job describing what a Macbook Pro is, and I will definitely share your site with my friends and family. God bless you!

    1. Hello, C.N.

I appreciate your sharing your experience with the computers you have purchased in the past,
I had a lemon Acer years ago so that has made me leary about purchasing that brand. We all can
get lemons no matter what brand we go with, and I have had the most success with HP computers

  3. I really enjoyed your article. I am
Interested in a Mac book but like you, I do find them quite costly. However the deals
You ah r highlighted have triggered my interest. .

    1. Hello, Russ
I thank you for sharing my article at least was interesting and tempting,
I would more likely go with a Macbook if the prices were not so outrageously high

  4. H Jeff

Thanks for your very informative article on the Macbook Pro Computer. Visitors who are looking for information on this computer or Laptop computers in general will be happy to read it. You did a great job in providing the different prices and places where the computers are available.

It sounds like the Macbook Pro is a very nice computer, no wonder it cost so much. It would be nice if you could afford it, since it is your desire to get one. Hearing about Laptops for Bloggers is new to me.

From reading your article, there are so many computers to choose from. So, knowing how much you want to spend is good thing.

I am planning to buy a new computer too, but that one that I am thinking about is not listed in your article.
Have you heard of the “Vaio” Laptop computers? My husband bought one last year, they are very nice, but very expensive too. Prices are similar to the Macbook Pro. They are very lightweight, so that makes them easy to travel with.

Thanks again for your article, you did a thorough research and provided more than enough information to give your visitors the information they need to help them make a decision.

    1. Hello, Jackie

The computer brand you have your heart set on is brand new to me,
but thanks to your comment I am going to do some research on Vaio
and see what I can find out about these

    1. Hello, Richard

I thank you for your comment and question, I have no idea what the answer if to your question of a good price for a second-hand Macbook.
I for one am leary about buying a second-hand computer, but if you can get a good price it might be a good way to go

      Thank you for the idea

  5. For the most part, the reason these products are so expensive is that your paying for the brand. Apple has established itself as a luxury brand, and they’re going to drive up the prices of they’re products just because they can.

While you might be able to buy any other laptop for a thousand dollars cheaper and get better performance, people still buy these products because of how well Apple has made their products look, work, and sync with other products and services in the “Apple Ecosystem”.

    Thank you for sharing!

  6. Hi Jeff, all I can say is me too! I have thinking because of covid-19 and since we are mostly home based these days what would the advantages to go back to the good old desk-top computer. Love to know your opinion on this.
    Regards Barry

    1. Hello, Barry

I am thinking similar to you if a desktop would be my best choice, and if our situation continues why would we really need a laptop anyway?
I have always used a desktop computer, so that is what I am the most comfortable with. I was thinking a laptop would provide me the opportunity
to be more productive when I have offline appts

  7. Great article Jeff, I always wanted to try MacBook myself, but I always get putt off by their prices. I always need to have a high-end laptop because I do some 4k video editing, but at the moment I couldn’t afford Macbook, so I assembled my own laptop for about 1500$ and the same spec Macbook would cost me more than 3000$, which is high price. But why I personally addore Macbooks, because of their realibility. They never freeze or give you and error like Windows and they a lot safer to use. I will definitely go for MacBook myself when I’ll be able to afford it.

Jeff where maybe you could share with us where is best to look for High End laptops?

    1. Hello, Marius

I thank you for sharing your own experience and your suggestion on High-End Laptops,
I had not thought about this until you shared this with my other readers and me today

      Thank you

  8. very informative the mac books seem pretty legit but I don’t have a lot of money. can you recommend me something a little cheaper. I need it for school work and to surf online. I won’t download any big programs

    1. Hello, Ladia

I understand you not interesting in investing so much into a Macbook, I am the very same way.
So far the best computer deals I have found for school and work is the Chromebooks.

  9. I’ve been a PC user since the first IBM PCs dropped in 1984. And, for whatever reason, I’ve never been a fan of Apple products, except for the Apple II. I didn’t like the user interface on the Apple Lisa or the Macs either. But one of the main reasons I never bought into Apple is the overly-high price of their products. You’re paying for the brand as much as the tech. I think that’s still the case today.

Apple Macs are closed systems that can’t be expanded or upgraded without buying another higher-specified Mac. IBM PCs (for want of a better description) and Windows certainly have their flaws but they’re more consumer-friendly. And, if you’re into gaming, then a PC is the best way to go.

In terms of laptops, Windows PCs and Chromebooks are significantly less expensive than equivalent Macbooks. I’d rather get a higher-spec’d laptop or PC than pay to have the Apple logo on the box. But that’s just me. 🙂

  10. Hi Jeff,
I’m a huge Apple fan!! I’ve had my iMac for years now, and iPhone, Apple tv, and ipad. We just love them.
When I started blogging, I used my iMac, but when we travelled anywhere I would use the iPad. But it wasn’t long before realizing how limiting that was.
So we bit the bullet and bought the Macbook Pro. And it’s been worth every penny. Yes, it wasn’t as cheap as other brands, but it sure is nice to be able to link them all together.
What can I say, we’re an Apple family. And I truly believe they’re worth it!!
